The Diablo III Website shows off a trailer from BlizzCon 2011, where the developers at Blizzard discuss the nightmare difficulty in Diablo III, their upcoming action/RPG sequel. In the clip artists Kevin K. Griffith, Nate Bowden, Nick Eberle, and Richie Marella reassure players of the challenge this will represent, which is reflected in the video's title: "Diablo III -- You Will Die. We Promise."
Actually it isn't even just always on DRM, half the game literally never fully exists on your PC.
Its the ultimate rental game, meaning you may buy it, but you never really own anything that even can run without blizzard saying "yes yes.. you are not a dirty pirate ... maybe!"
Its one step up from the vile always on DRM that requires Origin et al to run, those can be cracked easily. But what Blizzard does here is the complete dis-owning of the player. You do not own Diablo 3 when you buy it, Blizzard merely allows you to use it how they see fit.
That means no mods, and that means Diablo 3 can go to Nightmare difficulty and die. ^^
As I am a SP gamer Diablo 3 is entirely off my list, heck boycotting this game would be a joke, I never intend to buy it.
