Maybe they plan on selling content like models/clothes/etc and hope that due it being free, more content is made and sold on their side which means more profits?

Even though i do 3d-rendering and modeling i haven't actually got a single clue what DAZ Studio 4 does or is .. but i will try today and see if "free" is worthless, or neat

Maybe that was their idea, for people to try it out? They sell a lot of other stuff besides those 3 apps.

Ah.. so yeah, Daz Studio is essentially just a template generator, you pick shapes, the morph, you pick hair selections, morph them, you pick clothes.. character done.

To create clothes you gotta model them in their own system (hexagon, also free) but there doesn't seem to be any way to make your own morph systems.. or it escapes my quick look around.. anyway, not much you can do with Daz Studio unless you spend some time with hexagon.. might be worth it to make own characters though

Howsabout hiring people domestically, Tim? Or at least create non-slave labour conditions for your Chinese slaves workers? You could give a billion dollars away and I'd still say Apple was a company of scumbags.

They're just following a widely established process. Be ruthless in business, squeeze every penny, screw over whoever you have to, and then when you are filthy rich, give lots to charities, and be a "philanthropist". Bill Gates did it, and now you actually have people considering him a stand-up guy.

This comes days after fallout from an investigative article in The New York Times about hazardous working conditions in a Chinese factory that manufactures Apple iPads. Cook responded to the article saying, "We care about every worker in our worldwide supply chain. Any accident is deeply troubling, and any issue with working conditions is cause for concern. Any suggestion that we don't care is patently false and offensive to us."
