Bethesda Blog has news that
the promised beta version 1.4 patch for
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now available on
Steam. They outline how to back up your saved games and opt in to the beta test, offering warnings along the way that a beta patch is to be used at your own risk. They also outline how to revert back to version 1.3 if the beta is not to your liking.

I am keenly aware that one of the biggest mistakes is early optimization, but one should probably do it by the time the software is bumped to 1.0 and golden.  |
