This one is not a bug, but instead a limitation of the CPU-bound physics/shadowing implementation in the game. If that's indeed the case, they should put a 60 FPS limit into the code itself. Why even allow players to run at more than that if it breaks the game? |

There's a performance improvement that's occasionally noticeable without any FPS display, though it ran great before (Ultra at 1600x1080 on a 2500K & ATI9850). Most of the fixes seem to be quests I'm not at yet. Not running any significant mods though folks seem to be saying the bigger mods are getting updates out already. |

I actually ENJOY fighting in Skyrim. I pretty much hated it in Oblivion. The magic system is a major improvement and I find I can actually work out tactics for fighting things.
Its not Darksiders or Prototype, but its still fun. Granted, I'm only level 16 and fighting in 3rd person...so maybe that makes a difference. When taken along with the rest of the game, I think combat in Skyrim does its job decently enough. |

Er, yes, so it is. Maybe Blue updated it, or more likely I'm going senile. When I clicked the link, the virtual bouncer asked for my DOB and then forwarded me on to what was supposed to be that page, so I guess there was a bug in that. |

And when do we get really hi-res textures for the PC? Talking to a dragon a few feet away makes me want to puke all over my screen. And I'm not even mentioning the amazing 1994 Doom-style pixely enchantment table! |

Damn, that's impressive. (or rather, it's sad how poorly optimized Skyrim really is...)
Still, kudos to Bethesda for FINALLY realizing "Hey, if the community made a patch that actually works, maybe we should just make it official?"
That only took them 10 years to work out.
