I have no actual information, but the limited statement you made makes much sense to me... If I have recently released my 4th game, I might want the previous 3 to go 'for cheap' to generate interest in the 4th full price version...
But then, I guess your argument would be that it's available now, on steam... and to that, I say... ok ; )

My point was I didn't even know there was a 4th game, as the other 3 were originally labeled as "the blackwell trilogy". But seeing as it's someone actually making adventure games, and I got the other three for dirt cheap, I'm not complaining.
