TrackMania 2 Patch

Maniaplanet has word on a new optional patch that's available for TrackMania 2: Canyon, Nadeo's racing sequel (thanks Frans). This post has more details, including what this changes:

It was a minor update to fix some crashes in scripts and add these changes :

Bugfix function TextLib::ToReal
Bugfix function MathLib::ToReal
Bugfix function Array.exists
Bugfixes in Manialink quads with events
now one can use default values (from Type names) when calling a function
new function MathLib::Abs
now one can include without namespace (include in local namespace)
Manialink handles XMLEncoded scripts, to allow text such as "--" to appear in a script

Why they wouldn't make working with the #1 place on the internet to buy games a priority, especially when previous versions of their games are out there, is beyond me. Pretty sure it has something to do with the whole Mania network they're working on. I think Steam has rules about how your game deliver content to customers.

Kinda what I thought. Why they wouldn't make working with the #1 place on the internet to buy games a priority, especially when previous versions of their games are out there, is beyond me.

Nope, I guess that's unlikely to happen before more of ManiaPlanet and/or all of TM2 (so two further environments) have been released.
