And yet that still will not include me.
Not only does it not include me, but I can pretty much guarantee it never will.
Me too, but Facebook kicked me off. I guess Fb counts inactive users?

Now in fairness, Firefox and Chrome make Google their default engine.

I don't think you've installed Chrome recently. I just installed it again today, and the first thing it asks before you can use the software is for the default search engine, and Google is not selected by default.

If you're not computer literate, you're probably using Bing and THAT's assuming you even know what a search engine is.

It's the same reason that a lot of home users don't go out and buy the latest MS OS the moment it comes out (and get the latest OS when they buy a new computer). If it works and fits their needs, they tend not to dick with it.

Now in fairness, Firefox and Chrome make Google their default engine. The difference being that Firefox/Chrome doesn't come with Windows, so if you know enough to make the choice of a different browser, you're probably aware that you can make the choice of search engines.

I blame it on how MS "bundles" it with IE by making it the default search engine. If you're just a casual computer user that doesn't mess around with Firefox or Chrome, guess what, you're probably using Bing and you're not even aware that there are better alternatives out there.

MS is just cashing in on ignorance.

That's an excellent point.

Something surpassing Yahoo doesn't surprise me, because Yahoo is a big pile of crap.

But BING? Really, people? Bing? Half the time the results don't even fucking match what you were looking for in the slightest. I guess people just like the pretty background picture.

Confused

Microsoft eclipses Yahoo in US search for 1st time.
