The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.That is easy.All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.It works the same way in any country.

As noted on Reddit, these companies did not actually drop support for SOPA. They're all still members of the ESA (Entertainment Software Association), which supports the bill. (Source)

If even Electronic Arts, quite possibly the biggest bunch of fucking jackasses on the Internet, can figure out that SOPA is a piece of shit, why the hell can't our idiot "elected representatives???"
