No Mutants Allowed has a new modification for Fallout: New Vegas, created by J.E. Sawyer, project director on Obsidian's RPG sequel. The post offers downloads of the mod, an outline of what it does, and a Q&A with Sawyer explaining why these changes are not part of an official patch.

Nice changes. Wish these were in the original Hardcore mode to begin with, but most of the changes I already had through third-party mods anyway, in addition to other changes which I felt were necessary (like no companion auto-healing and no infinite ammo with their default weapons). In addition, it looks like Sawyer's mod doesn't affect drop rates/loot rarity for ammo or drugs, both of which needed to be significantly less common in the original game. Thankfully, I installed mods to fix that too.
