Out of the Blue

Timing is the key to life department: My internet connection has been very flaky for the past 24 hours or so, and I have to express gratitude that it's chosen such a quiet time of year to be funky, as it's not causing nearly the disruption it normally would. I'm taking advantage of the quiet to undergo some torture. I have a tooth were the root cracked somewhere below the surface, and after some prep-work today, I'm having the tooth removed on Friday. Lucky me... how many people get a visit from Santa and the Tooth Fairy in the same week?

Hey, a lot of us here and billions around the globe have no denatal benefits or even access to a dentist so yeah, you are pretty lucky, Blue.

Private personal dental insurance is pretty cheap....damn near everyone should be able to afford it.

Not in Canada. Unfortunately they're all tied to packages that come with all kinds of crap you don't want or need. They're drastically overpriced and the coverage is utter shite for what you pay. If you don't have group coverage through an employer here you're pretty much fucked.

heh, yeah, how is that Socialist medical stuff working for you guys anyway? Bet you are glad you get all those days off when you are preggo......

kidding aside. That sucks. Visit here for a week, get a PO box and come across the border for some tooth work.

ive enjoyed chewing ice and other crunchy foods since i was a wee lad

its worked out well

The general principles used in martial arts breaking training is similar to the same principles used for most athletics. The body adapts to stress. There are generally three areas a martial arts breaker wishes to force their body to adapt to: the bones, the skin (calluses), and muscles (for both mass and speed). The general principle here — for instance, for the bones — is found in Wolff's law, which states that the skeletal system will, after healing, be stronger if injury is put to it.Craig Edmunds demonstrates this theory after breaking hand in seminar measuring bone density then measuring bone density after healing. In this manner the breaking practitioner operates not unlike a bodybuilder who works out with weights, then takes a period of rest to heal and allow the muscles to come back stronger.

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

Never had one pulled but I guess it's a matter of time before I have to pay up for all the beer, coffee, sugar, and brushing only once a day although I do floss and many a dental student (2) have told me ACT restoring mouthwash is like magic potion, so I use that also.
