A Grateful Dead Game Website offers a new teaser trailer for The Epic Tour, an upcoming video game based on the iconic psychedelic band they say will launch next year. The nature of the game is not completely clear, though their pre-sales of "membership bundles" indicates this is some sort of online experience. Thanks Kotaku.

Holy shit snacks! I just looked at the pricing and details on what the "game" is and yuuuup it's a total rip-off. It is most definitely not the last fair deal in the country, last fair deal in the town.

As a major Deadhead (my screen name, which is also my license plate, my avatar), and someone who went to 173 shows, this game is a travesty. Their Facebook page is hilarious. There are so many negative comments. Basically the gist of the game is a virtual tour, where you vote on shows you want to hear, and then you dress up your dancing bear and go to the top voted show. "Might as well" just go listen to them yourself on Archive.org. $400 for the top tier subscription. Say What? Oh, and they are using stealies as currency. Jerry is rolling over in his grave.
