If by arcadey you mean the only RTS since Broodwar with enough balance, depth and skill ceiling to sustain a professional esports scene, then yes. |

The best RTS games of all time are CoH, Homeworld (1, 1.1 and 2) and Rome Total War.
Relic has been blasting everyone with the stupid as fuck Warhammer games that I have never liked and have sold average at best. I also do not want to see WW2 for a while, so the logical game to make would be HW3. Homeworld was so friggin ahead of it's time, mind blowing and still looks and plays great today on Win7 over the internet coop or head to head. |

They got the license just to sit on it? 
My understanding and first hand info from a former Relic employee is that THQ owns the Homeworld IP (bought from Vivendi in 2007). So just because THQ owns the IP and the Relic studio, doesn't mean that Relic would do the third game. But as someone mentioned, it has been alluded to. Either way, it wouldnt be Relics decision but THQ's.

| Relic working on a new RTS = I don't know whether I want CoH 2 or Homeworld 3 more. I'd prefer CoH 2 over a HW3 that was dumbed down for the mainstream market, but I think a true HW3 might be more fun than CoH 2. Whatever it is I'm sure it'll be very pretty looking. |

Although COH's engine was, and still is, very good..I hope this would feature something other than a campaign slapped into old tech.
Isn't that essentially what the Warhammer games were? |
