Hard drive makers have bad batches but none are really more reliable than any other. In fact many share parts from the same manufacturing facilities. The great google hard drive test demonstrated this aptly, google it for more info. |

| samsung! noooooooOOOOO! 1 less reliable HD maker on the market. WD gonna have a monopoly on decent quality control now. |

| That's the complete opposite of my experience, as I've only used WD drives since the mid 90s and have never had a drive fail. |

| Yeah I've had bad experiences with Seagate HDs, so I guess I'll have to add Samsung to that list of HD venders not to buy from. |

| So Seagate cut back on warranties in order to free up the money needed to buy Samsung's business. All I can say is I'm glad I took Seagate off my vendor list some 10-12 years ago...I don't have to waste time doing it now. |
