Ahh, I see Cliffy is finally going to just box copies of his penis and ship those. It's about time. He's been pretty much doing it for years anyhow, I'm surprised they're going to unleash it as such now. Don't know how fresh an IP that is... but whatever, it's Epic, right? Maybe they can get Mark to put some shine on that. |

Holy shit, talk about a 'glass half-empty' crowd...damn...
Wasn't that 'castle' demo part of the original Unreal intro/menu? I vaguely remember it...

I've lost interest in their games mostly due to the use of over the top steroid character designs, that and Cliffy being a shill for xbox and turning his back on the PC. I'd be shocked if that UDK demo wasn't involved with their next game somehow.
As for CliffyB's love for the Xbox... well, money talks. Microsoft basically has Epic under their thumb, and Microsoft is about as anti-PC gaming as they get, as odd as that would seem. |

| honestly I just want a proper Unreal 2 even after all this time. Just that intro circling the castle blew my mind back then. |

Yeah, fresh? I seriously doubt it. And no combining a few of your previous IPs into a new game is not fresh. |

I will be genuinely surprised if something 'entirely fresh and new' came out of Epic, considering their track record.
What will be even more surprising will be if they manage to eschew their favorite archetype of cookie-cutter-protagonist, but that would qualify as fresh and new. For Epic, anyway.
Bulletstorm was made by people can fly, not epic, but you can definitely see their influence from when they did get involved in the project.
These bigger studios are hardly known for trying something new, I see whatever they roll out being more of a safe bet, I'm suspecting by fresh and new they meant 'fresh and new to those who sit around and play gears of war all day.'
I could be wrong, that'd be nice. |

Hmmm....
Bulletstorm was refreshing and fun, so here's hoping. Wouldn't mind another third person game, but not quite so repetitious as Gears. |
