WWII Online Welcome Back Event

A new update is live in World War II Online: Battleground Europe, announces the website for the World War II MMOG. This paves the way for a first-ever USA vs. Germany mini-campaign, and they say they have sent out invitations to former subscribers to come back and participate. They offer registrations for players who did not receive there invitations. Thanks Eldon.

I bought this game when it came out. It sucked then.

If you want to play online battles in the WWII era, go play World of Tanks instead. That actually is a good game and has at least mediocre graphics.

The graphics were horribly dated the day the game went live. What does it look like now?

I suspect that most of those still playing are Octogenarians, living in seclusion in the Brazilian rainforest...

Really was a decent game after they patcher it post-realease. It is so dated now though, that I am surprised anyone pays to play.

I always heard it was a good game Like 8 years ago!. So what do you have to do to a WW2 game other then feed electricity to the server and take people's money?

Had no idea this was still going on. And over 10 years, it looks like. That's right - these servers have been running WWII longer than the actual war took.

That's one of the most clever comments I've read today, kudos.
