Well worth the 15 bucks you're crying over and wanting for less. Unless you own them already. In which case one might pause. |

As time went on, it became apparent that the GBoR was nothing but a PR stunt. Sadly. Weirdly, the GBoR was pretty much in effect during the entire run of GalCiv2. That game was supported out the ass, and so was SoSE. Then they wrote the GBoR, and suddenly it just went out the window.
Anyway, the only game I have on Impulse that I actually give a shit about is Galciv2, so if I can rebuy the whole thing on Steam for 10 or 15 bucks, I can forget about Impulse altogether.

I'd love to transfer Sins and dump Impulse altogether.
Unfortunately, I doubt it is entirely Stardock's choice. They don't own Impulse anymore, and I'm sure that the sale contract to GameStop wouldn't include language allowing them to transfer property to their competitors. While Stardock owns the game, the original purchase was made through a service Stardock no longer owns.
I'll just wait for Christmas when the whole thing is on sale, buy it, and send Impulse to the recycle bin. |

Still, I'm waiting until they offer more titles, I want other stardock stuff too in a big stardock pack. |

I just got so bored with Brad's appearance on Podcast to apologize. He had no clue about DemiGod and no clue about Elements till the blood was on the wall. |

Oh please say yes.....(i only ever bought demigod ...wish i didnt.....galciv2 + exp's....and soase + exp's) The Devs on the forums said no, but I pointed out that the Devs for SPaZ did it, so I hope they consider it. Thats not transferring from one digital service to another though. That was activating a key that was previously only available directly from the dev, into steam.
Stardock COULD do that, but they'd likely take a hit doing so. Steam would surely charge them a fee for every cd key activated. Remember, with them being in financial difficulties, they are not likely to do something like that.
I'm ok with re-buying all stardock stuff on steam so I can finally get rid of impulse, as long as its a good deal and its in a big pack. Like say $30-$40 for all previous stardock titles. I doubt they can go to all impulse titles (since there were many other publishers and devs involved), but they can probably do just the ones they've personally had a hand in developing.
So far though, they've only offered Sins:Trinity, which makes the announcement of "titleS" a lie. |

I know, I never bothered though.
In truth I bought it on Steam because I always hated Impulse's archive feature, which sucked ass. Steam's is faster, easier, and just better by a mile, which matters to me because I install/uninstall games so frequently on different machines, and I'm on Comcast with a 250GB/month limit so I try ti stay away from repeated downloading.
To a lesser extent, I wanted to cast a vote for Stardock, which is still a fine company, despite Brad Wardell's inability to keep his damn fool mouth shut. |
