New ATI Catalyst Drivers

AMD now offers new version 11.11 Catalyst reference drivers for AMD/ATI graphics cards. There are new drivers for 32 bit Windows Vista/Windows 7, 32 bit Windows XP, and 64 bit Windows Vista/Windows 7. They offer a link to Release Notes, but these don't seem to be available yet. Thanks g00f.

Skyrim works flawlessly for me on the 11.10 release 2. Literally flawlessly.

What sort of card you running? On a 5970 (X2) it crashes every 10-30 mins for me (ctd, no error message)... I'm on 11.10 (didn't see a release 2)

Might as well give these ones a go, not like it can get much wors... err, I'm just going to keep that one unsaid...

I have a 1gig 4870 Sapphire and Skyrim runs almost flawlessly, it has crashed a few times however.

I've got 20 hours into Skyrim and it has crashed exactly once. Intel Core i5 650, AMD Radeon 6870 1GB, on-board Realtek audio. That is a huge improvement over Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas. Those three crash on average once an hour or so. So, I'm happy - and it's only patch 1.1 so you'd think it only gets better from here!

Here is their release notes. No mention of BF3 sadly.

Driver for the release of BF3 has already come out, those changes should have been rolled into 11.11.

And Skyrim runs perfectly fine for me with the 11.10 final drivers. Have to get my $60 back from Bethesda somehow.

Do these drivers work with Rage? Only 11.10 beta 3 (but not 11.10 final) worked with Rage for me.

It's strange, because the 11.10 final drivers fixed all my Rage problems, but the game stopped loading altogether for me. I'm using a 4970 and my friends is newer, not sure which card.

I just talked to him and he said these 11.11 drivers didnt solve the problem for him either. Bethesda Support has not helped with the problem at all, blaming it entirely on AMD drivers.

id software fucked up bigtime with the release of Rage. We havent even been able to play coop together, yet we can start a car combat multiplayer game no problem (when he was using older drivers). I have barely been able to play the game myself as I couldnt play at all until 11.10 Final drivers and better, actual working games have since come out, making Rage thus far a massive waste of $60 and they declined refunds the week of release even though the game was unplayable for most.

Rage won't run at all for me. Not even in safe mode. No news out of Id Software the wankers.

Single cards don't have any problems with Skyrim. For those with crossfire setups (or X2s), try:
