Ships Ahoy: Assassin's Creed Revelations [Updated]

Ubisoft announces that Assassin's Creed Revelations is now sneaking into North American stores for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, offering the latest installment in the stealth/action assassination series. Update: Apologies for the brain-fart, of course the Windows edition of the game is delayed until December 2nd.

Assassin's Creed Revelations marks the peak of the epic journey of master assassin Ezio Auditore in the age-old war between Assassins and Templars. Assassin's Creed Revelations is an action-adventure game that blends thrilling combat, stunning hyper-realistic graphics and a gripping tale of intrigue and self-discovery.

Developed and led by Ubisoft Montreal with the support and expertise of Ubisoft studios Annecy, Massive Entertainment, Quebec, Singapore and Bucharest, Assassin's Creed Revelations presents the most immersive experience available in the series to date and the culmination of Ezio's adventure.

In Assassin's Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary assassin Altaïr on a journey of revelation. It is a perilous path - one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.

In addition to Ezio's award-winning story, the acclaimed online multiplayer experience returns, refined and expanded, with more modes, more maps and more characters that allow players to test their assassin skills against others from around the world.

I guess I'm getting old, soft, and senile when I start thinking "well it's not a 6 month delay, so that's good."

Still haven't beat the last one. I'll buy this next year sometime probably, or if I ever have a lull in games to play. They are really starting to Guitar Hero the series.

It's a continuing story like Star Trek 2-4 were.

Um. No they aren't. Its a continued storyline and the game series is far from being "milked" like Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell are.

That would be why the last Rainbow Six game came out over three and a half years ago, right?

People make me laugh sometimes. A new CoD every year and that's milking it, but it's fine for other franchises.

Shirley, PC is delayed so they can SNEAK a new drm/trogan/rootkit into the game before the press and fans can find out about it!
Word is it will only have a one time online activation. Or I could be thinking about ME3. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/11/10/oh-but-some-good-ass-rev-news-drm/

Why does Ubisoft even bother with PC releases?

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

Yeah, it was. If you read the actual press release, it says "The PC version of Assassin's Creed Revelations will be released on November 29, 2011.". I guess in his hurry to get the post up, Blue might've just missed it...

I love this series but I can't be bothered with this right now. BF3, Saints Row 3, Skyrim, Dark Souls, the list goes on. There is no room for AC right now, I'll pick it up for $20 down the line when I have more time.

Ask for it for Christmas. It's what I'm doing.

And yeah, the PC version is delayed by ~ two weeks.
