Good lord. They've been 5 hours for like 5 years now, why are you surprised? |

They sent PC magazines and websites the 360 version for review according to twitter comments, which is amusing.
This is the first COD I did not buy day one. Finally bored of the campaign style to the point I can't pay $60 for it. For the record I'm not a big fan of the scripted style, but COD did it so well it was enjoyable anyway. It's finally worn off though. Will get this when it's $20. |

Good lord.
I get the same playtime out of Deus Ex DLC for a mere 15 bucks.
Definitely a rental. At best. Well, that's the silly SP stuff. The MP stuff just isn't comparable to BF3 in my opinion, makes it seems like childs play. I would buy this kind of title for the MP but when your competitor finally has feature superiority then why bother. They'll make money just based on the name for awhile but BF3 and Skyrim look poised to take a big dent out of their potential buyer pool. If I was Activision I'd be pretty worried about the BF franchise moving forward too, Dice finally nailed the FPS gameplay while retaining the larger scope and vehicles. |

Definitely a rental. At best. Even with a 5 hour single player it will still likely have the most hours per purchase on average of any game this year.
Yeah, lots of people will get 80-120 hours of Oblivion. But some people will do that in 2 weeks of MW3. |

| Someone called me yesterday to go fix their son's xbox, after troubleshooting for a while and numerous calls to Verizon and Microsoft I was able to come to the conclusion that somehow Microsoft was blocking a portion of IP's from New Jersey from accessing certain servers, namely xbox login. I had to inform both companies of this, only then did they admit that a large block of IP's in New Jersey using FIOS can not access xbox live. Apparently 'engineers' are working on it, I can only imagine the rage going on in some households around here. I see I still can't access live.xbox.com, just as a test. |

At first I thought that video looked fun. As I kept watching and seeing how that guy played and how successful he was...
He goes prone every time he sees a guy. Why did they bring that back? |

Was planning on going into Best Buy and trading in some games to get this yesterday but I couldn't stay excited after watching video clips like this:
MW3
It looks fun, just not something I want to go spend $60 on. I'll pick this up on goozex in the next month anyway so....maybe redbox has it....not yet.... Should be added today. But they are getting skyrim on both 360/ps3! And Assassins creed and SR3! I LOVE YOU REDBOX!

Guilty.

You too are a victim of your own beliefs. Only difference is, I'm openly stating it to be satirical. I think they're all inferior to Team Fortress 2. |

Yes, because the player's opinion doesn't matter. It's not like they're trying to sell this game to them.
Though in the case of CoD, the game is like Gears of War and Halo, it's only being targeted to the indoctrinated faithful. Better not try anything new, I'm not sure they could handle that.
Yeah, I'm trollin'. I honestly didn't think I'd like Battlefield 3 either, but it turns out it's the best online game I've played in years. The only thing MW3 has going for it is that it's still on Steam. |

Doesn't SR3 come out this Friday, right along Skyrim?
Creston Tuesday. So if you can finish Skyrim in 4 days you can play SR3. I'm not sure which I'll actually play first. I think I may do SR3, and switch to Skyrim around the time the first DLC hits. But maybe not. Can I quit my job and just play both? Yes you can! I'll toss a few dollars into your hat when you're beggin on the street corner. |
