| Actually I still buy cds.. when I am buying gifts. I don't see elderly people switching to downloads any time soon... |

Actually they already have, kind of. Guitar amps with tubes are still made. Some have tubes and the modern digital stuff. Kind of a hybrid amp I guess. |

There's a much warmer sound to it than mp3's, or CD's. is it warmer because of the analog playback or is it from the analog recording? i always wondered what audiophiles were referring to when they say that because a lot of music today are recorded digitally. so wouldnt that present a problem for vinyl which used to be made from copies of original analog recordings? |

Hmm, that's annoying.
CD's are the one legal universal standard for conveniently and reliably obtaining MP3 (albeit requiring a conversion) of any desired quality/size, from any label.
CDs are also cheaper.
