Dark Souls It is the hardest game I've ever played and I've beaten Deadly Towers. You either need a large amount of patience, a lot of skill or something in between both to complete it. It's very rewarding and enjoyable when things are going well but when you make a few mistakes and things pile up it can really break your will.
As someone else put it awhile ago, the game does not a give fuck about you the player at all. At no point will you get helpful visual tutorials or any of that stuff you see in modern games. The combat system is fairly robust, the graphics/environments are incredible and the storyline is incoherent but that's not why people play anyway. It has a lot of replay value, very unique multiplayer implementations and some very addictive gameplay that challenges you constantly to overcome it. It's basically everything that modern gaming in 2011 is not.
It's the best $60 you can spend this year |

Hey I meant to ask earlier, for anyone playing Dark Souls atm how you liking it? Reviews are all really high for it on sites and with plyers, though I see it seems like an absolute love it or hate it type game. |

Anyone know if Amazon Download games can be put into Steam with the key? That's how I got Dead Island and Human Revolution (each for $40, first week of release). |

So MW3 would be good to go? 10.00 credit if using download service.
I wasn't aware it was using steamworks, but according to this, it is.
In theory, it should work. I know people were buying DX from Amazon and adding the key to steam, since it was a steam key.

Only very few games purchased from other places can be incorporated into Steam so you can re-download them from steam.
How ever, any game (or applications for that matter) can be added to steam manually; so it is in your list of games. When you run the game it will notify people on your friends list you are in that game, etc.
Full steam community in the games do not work though. |

In short, I was looking for a 15" desktop replacement for software/DB development and gaming; something with a mid-2GHz i7 Quad.
If this is going to also be your primary gaming rig, be prepared for it to be big and bulky. And also, the power inverter (often over looked) is going to be quite large and heavy as well. Your battery will not last long either.
I am currently using an Asus gaming laptop as my main gaming rig, the 17.1 screen is great; plus I have HDMI out and can go to larger trivially. But it is not exactly pleasant to carry around or super portable.
If you do not need portable gaming needs, you can get a decent cheap laptop and a decent mid-ranged desktop for the price of a gaming laptop. |

A couple of the light-blue headlines have line breaks, and the first couple of lines under Morning Consolidation and Morning Tech Bits look odd. Some closing tags are just misplaced and theres a few duplicate text lines, should be an easy fix whenever hes back at the helm. |
