Out of the Blue

We are planning on doing some rocking tonight, as we have concert tickets (front row no less!). We are off to see Ian Hunter, most famous for the hit version of David Bowie's All the Young Dudes back with Mott the Hoople. This follows my philosophy about attending concerts since hitting middle age, which is to only see artists who are older than myself so I'm not as likely for feel like that old-timer who sticks out in the audience. Ian recently turned 72, so I'm pretty confident we'll once again actually be among the younger attendees.

My buddy Jimmy plays guitar in Hunter's band. I saw Mott back in the day (they were the first rock band to play on Broadway)and his solo tours with Mick Ronson, great shows

Is that "Jimmy the Greek?" He was completely awesome!

Yeah, that was like seeing Bob Segar and Yes last year and the year before respectively. They are looking old! Still sound damn good though.

Yes without Jon Anderson is not Yes.

72!
Does this rocking involve chairs?

Years ago (maybe early 00s), I got to see Jerry Lee Lewis at a local show. (He looked so old) They almost had to prop him up...on one of the last songs of the night, he finally managed to haul up his right leg and do his trademark of hitting a few of the piano keys with the heel of his foot. The crowd cheered!
