Yes, he can go fuck himself. Single-player gaming is being killed off pretty quickly. Credit most any developer's fetish for co-op for that. I'm pretty sure that, about as little as three or four years ago, most comments were lamenting the death of co-op, and frequently people would say stuff like "It's got co-op? INSTABUY!"
It's all cyclical. Three years from now, co-op will have gone the way of the dodo again, and mp deathmatch will be all the rage again, and then it'll shift again to focus solely on awesome SP, and it'll shift again, and again, and again.
