It's less open to new people. Someone comes in here and posts something casually stupid and they're immediately flamed and chased off. They don't return. I've posted on a few messageboards that turned into that. They all died a slow death, as new people don't show up to backfill old people that stop coming around quite as much.

It's a hard thing to fix, but it's something that happens when the regulars are a small group with largely the same attitude and very closely overlapping opinions. If someone doesn't have that same attitude and same opinion they won't join.

There's what, maybe 15-20 regular posters here? We're probably losing them faster than gaining new blood. And there's no denying we're fairly closed-minded - no matter what game you like or how you like to play it you're going to get called an idiot.
