After waiting a bit for a Diablo III beta key through normal channels, I gave in to temptation and asked Blizzard for entrance into the closed beta of the action/RPG sequel based on being the esteemed member of the gaming media that I pretend to be. Having received a key under that pretext, I sort of feel obligated to write a preview of the game at some point, helping make up for the dire shortage of such early looks at the game.
