While this seems exorbitant, and I admit it is expensive, it is not uncommon at convention centers. This offering is not typically for attendees, but for exhibitors. I remember being in charge of a large booth at a trade show in Las Vegas about 15 years ago and we paid $300 for two days use of a single Ethernet drop. They have a captive audience for the most part and have built that revenue into their model. Does it make it right? Probably not, but it depends upon your vantage point. |

Is tethering to your cell phone still a big no no in terms of wracking up a data charge and being frowned upon by certain providers?
I remember working as an AT&T rep and had a customer phone in wondering why her bill was simply astronomical and we later found out that her son downloaded the Lord of the Rings trilogy on a standard Data plan. |

Or you could just walk outside and not pay. |
