Out of the Blue

It is now officially fall here in the northern hemisphere, as the autumnal equinox occurred at around 5:05 am EDT today. I prepared for the occasion by shaving my summer beard yesterday, and my plan is to now let it grow out through the first day of spring. Last year I grew a beard from December until spring, and it ended up pretty epic, so I expect this to be pretty extreme.

It's a bit scary when you read the paper, though, because of all the stuff they thought about (since the measurements were made over the span of three years I figured that there may have been a shift due to an earthquake or another, natural occurrence but they even took THAT into account) when doing these measurements. If it turns out to be true it's going to be big but personally I kinda doubt that.
