"RAGE is ready!!" declares the Bethesda Blog, announcing that id Software's first-person shooter is now complete, and ready for its release on October 4th in North America and October 7th in Europe. They offer a picture of RAGE Senior Brand Manager, old whatshisname, holding final versions of the game for Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, and direct those interested in preordering the Anarchy Edition to the RAGE website.

To me it looks like a souped up version of Borderlands (not that that is a bad thing, mind you), but I'm hoping id blows me away.

Heard amazing things about the pioneer BD 206 Waiting for it to get cheaper than $109 though.. If you wanna go super cheap, the LG's are floating around the 70 mark during sales. Heard they were kinda iffy though..

Well now is the moment of truth. We shall finally see if the gang over id can do a shooter with a story and we shall see if have abandoned their PC roots like Epic has. We shall see if and how much consolitis is inn the game.

I just don’t follow what all the hatred is towards this game. I personally think it’s going to be a lot of fun. Especially playing it Coop. The game looks good, even though they have been showing off the Console shit textures the PC version is going to look way better and play much better. Some of you guys need to spend less time bitching about PC games and just be glad we are still getting games on the PC. All I can say is it’s your lose. I know I for one will be enjoying the hell out of this game.

Also agree. Really can't figure out why, or even how the cars work into it. Now if it was open world ala Red Faction:Guerilla, that would be cool and I could see the benefit of tricked out war machines. I'm looking forward to it. My son has it preordered for the xbox and I will likely nab it for the PC. I haven't played a full single player game in 1.5+ years and just finished DX:HR today. It was a good experience so I think I'll do Witcher2 next and then Rage when it's available.
