My inventory is maxed and still too small. I just found another new weapon and dropped my PEPS (never fired it) and stun gun, as well as ammo for both, to pick it up. But I really just use the pistol and tranq gun still.

Game has crashed on me 3 times. I don't much mind. Between the auto-saves (which nicely are often and keep 2 at a time) and quick-saves I'm good. I also die very, very rarely.

I love games that let me try to be stealthy but blast my way out when I mess up. This is that game.

Yea I am holding off on getting DX, as I just don't have free time right now...and I haev some games on preorder that I will want to play. By the sounds of it, I will get DX this fall on sale (i can't believe I am passing up the GMG). oh well.

Not enough time in the world for my games list....

I actually left the sniper rifle on the ground. Very odd for me, but the tranq gun can snipe, I had more ammo for it, and I'm assuming it takes way too much room in the way too small inventory.

I upgraded my inventory to carry it even though like Jerykk I'm not going to ever use it.

I'm playing the game ridiculously slowly. What do you guys recommend for boss battles for the ghost hacker? I'd prefer just to carry the one weapon + tranq.

Dunno about the other bosses yet but the first one you can beat just throwing the barrels and gas tanks at him.

I don't know whose idea the boss fights were but its eally marred an other wise good game. I'm sure that message has probly got through loud and clear to Eidos at this point. Just remember that with Thief 4!

It's under gameplay, if I remember correctly. I personally waffle between highlighting on and off.

So you grumpy old bastards say it is a good game?

It'll be a game of the year contender in some places even with the big name titles on the heavy fall release schedule. It's really good.

Just annoys me because I get almost to the end and then *BAM* here's some DLC that you can only play if you have not yet finished or haven't gone past this point, etc. Fallout: NV was very irritating with this. At least games like Borderlands let you play the DLC whenever.

Sure, I understand that. But at least this particular game encourages a second play through by taking different augs/quest outcomes(though admittedly like NV).

This game is rushed, though. It wasn't on my list, so I only have until Sept. 6th to finish it so I can play Dead Island. Stupid game being good and requiring a purchase. YOU MESSED UP MY LIST, EIDOS!Damn you!

I'm impressed. The atmosphere, sound, gameplay etc was what I was hoping for. One of the minor gripes I had was the tight field of view, but thankfully they provided an option for that. Seems they really listened to the old school pc bitches like me.

Only one minor gripe and that's the colour palette. If this yellow tint is all the way through the game, they missed out big time in adding a unique feel to different parts of the levels. But yea, so far that's a minor issue.

You missed one throwback to DX, and one crucial plot point:
The CEO of Picus is Morgan Everett - Illuminatus extraordinaire from DX, and at one point Athene Sarif's secretary has an email from L. DeBeers informing him that David is not interested. On Megan's computer in the white room Darrow has an email that basically says that the real reason why they needed Adam's DNA was to find a way for the human body to accept nano-particles without rejecting them. So, the opening sequence with Page they are discussing the Limb upgrade plan, and Darrow and maybe Taggart are talking (and possibly DuClare and others from DX, unless that is Zhou), but Page is IMing about nano-augmentation.

Now they institute the Illuminati plan to ruin the game by offering DLC that requires you to not have made it past the first area in the game.

Seeing as I got the game for $29, I have no problem, provided it's good content.

I'd specifically like to buy the soundtrack, and steam seems to be adding those lately (they added the soundtrack for Bastian the other day). And of course, the Tong mission.

The PEPS is basically a non-lethal shotgun with much shorter range and wider spread. Unfortunately, it makes a lot of noise so it isn't really useful as a stealth weapon. I have a highly modded silenced sniper rifle but I never use it because I'm going the non-lethal route. I figured I'd use it for boss fights but the firing rate is too slow and my revolver does more damage. I'm tempted to sell it but I don't want all those upgrades to go to waste.

First time for everything.

It's not perfect, but it's very good, and it's on sale at GMG (check the coupons) and amazon ($35 for a steam code).

edit: Speaking of GMG, picked up Dead Island for $34, with their coupon. Hard to say no.

11 hours in.

Weapons I've used:
Tranq gun (regularly in the beginning, less now)
Modded to hell 10MM pistol
Stun gun (only 3 or 4 times)
Shotgun (only against first boss)

That's it. I'm carrying 3 guns I haven't shot a single round for, one of which I'm not sure what it does...
