If you disagree and do, that's your decision. I may not agree with it, but I'll respect it. To be clear, I understand that you did not mean what you said as a slur, but intent is not really a factor in trying to keep the discourse civil here. I can't delete one post for saying the things you did and not delete yours because of "context." I was not angry at what you did, I merely deleted your post. I was, however, surprised at the comment about me "missing" the context, which you repeat above. Keeping language like that out of these forums is not an issue of context, and it sounds like you may still be "missing" that point. |

I enjoy that Space Captain says homosensitivity (did I just make that up) is due to white guilt.
Anyway, we have what, 3 people making references to that time he grabbed a microphone? Wasn't that like 4 years ago? And beaten to death? And on MTV? Seriously? |

To prove a point you litter your explanation with more slurs?
And "some of my best friends are {fill in the blank}" is such a cliche of bigotry it's not even worth addressing.
Call your friends what you want, but please don't use that language here... |

History has demonstrated that not nipping racially inflammatory commentary in the bud just leads to things going downhill quite rapidly.
try growing a sense of humor at some point, it lowers stress I like to think I actually have a pretty well-developed sense of humor. I guess I'm wrong, as I didn't see how that brief out of context clip that tried to make this a joke about Kanye's race was so funny and not at all racist.
Warmest regards, The stuck-up prick. |
