Yesterday I picked up the pups from camp to accomplish the last errand to conclude our trip to Atlanta. As has happened before, Hudson the wonder dog was happy to see both of us, but while the Gunnar-man greeted me enthusiastically, he gave MrsBlue the cold shoulder, because he considers her his person, and obviously blamed her for leaving him behind. This happened the last time we went away, and it took him over a day to forgive her. This time, however, the silent treatment lasted until we stopped off on the way home and she ran into a store for a few minutes. He watched intently as she left, and when she returned he became overjoyed and kissed her enthusiastically. It seems apparent this brief second absence shocked him into gratitude for being reunited, and he immediately stopped overplaying his hand, err, paw.
