I don't know why they'd want to with the PS3 at this point. Either you don't have universal cross-game chat (and, in the process, deprive developers of even more system RAM, which is already in short supply), or you just piss off some gamers by telling them "we can't do it".
Seems like a no-brainer to me. |

Well I'm sure they could. They would just have to disable it for a good portion of the back catalog. And any new games have to allow for it. Im guessing Sony doesnt want to do that.

That's not what I meant, I was referring to the fact that they can't tie an incredible requested and useful feature into PSN for the duration of the PS3s lifetime. |

I hope they seriously consider throwing more capital and resources at securing PSN before even thinking about a PS4. Glad I never bought one.
