I was looking at From Dust, but then I saw it was an Ubisoft game and I knew I should Google and indeed it has their weird internet-based DRM scheme.
They MUST know that these schemes only annoy customers, they just must figure they are somehow reducing piracy.
I know though that when I pirated games regularly I didn't care if it had DRM or not, because the pirated copy of course removes the DRM. I never even bothered to find out what DRM a game (once) had..
So, this move of theirs makes (some, admittedly) customers annoyed, and affects the pirates not at all, except perhaps to give the cracking crews another little puzzle to solve.
It's a bad business decision all the way around..
