I think they won't have a choice but to work on the joystick support. With BFBC2 you could mouse and keyboard pilot the helicopters at an adequate level, if not a skilled one. But jets are another story, a mouse and keyboard just isn't going to cut it.
Hopefully the PC beta will feature a 64 player conquest map with jets. I don't want to see the rage that will ensue if it's another 32 player infantry map. |

Camping the runway with some shoulder fired rocket launchers is the best thing ever, don't ruin my fun! Or just watching n00bs taking off from the aircraft carrier and crashing directly into the ocean. Never gets old.

Unless it was just a placeholder, I'm assuming it stood for "Punkbuster". Though it wasn't enabled during the Alpha test. |

EA has (most of us) by the balls, we'll put up with all sorts of bullshit just to be able to play the game, Origin, Facebook styled frontend web based UI, Punkbuster glitches (yes it uses Punkbuster).
I'm sure they'll throw some more crap at us and we'll be cursing all the way to the "connect to server" button. |

The joystick support for Bad Company 2 was hilariously bad. Because starting with Codename Eagle the games were setup for flight with mouse/kb. They pretty much have the best mouse/kb implementation around. I don't like it with a joystick after playing with it that way for a decade+ |

| Was just going to inquire about joystick support. That was a huge turn-off in BC2. Like someone else stated: It only lasted 2 months on my HDD. |

It's looking good. Gives me more of a BC3 vibe than BF3. Will play it though. BC2 lasted me about two months then it was very stale. Been playing BF2 (mods!) six years and still counting. No moding will chase away the more hardcore players. Would pay $100 for a DICE Project Reality type expansion or DLC though.

Too bad there's no modding. For me, that really kills it. There's so much potential for awesome mods here and is the main reason the previous BF games lasted so long. I'd love to see an ultra realistic simulation mod that shows BIS how it's done.
This is a $30 TOPS game for me.
Yeah it has flashy graphics...so what? |

The bot hitting the divider at 1:33 seems to be a sort of derogatory callback to Homefront and Frontlines (Kaos).
Anyhoo, I'm amazed at the level of visual fidelity the game has over Frostbite 1 tech. BC2 was a fun game but online the visuals looked even more dated than BF2. |

MrGrosser wrote on Aug 16, 2011, 13:48: The real question is with all the cancellations from BF3's recent announcements, are they going to be able to fill a 64player map?
This game is the next Brink Right. With 3+ million sales of Bad Company 2 on PC alone, Battlefield 3 (which looks incredibly impressive, and far more of a PC game than BC2) will be the "next Brink".
LOL
You're crazy if you think that "all the cancellations" will make even close to a dent in the game's sales, especially since this trailer will probably convince all of those cancellations to re-preorder. |

| Awesome, only thing I didn't like was the jets clearly hitting those wires but not crashing. Hopefully that is fixed, or maybe I am just not seeing it right. I also hope that they can be turned off per server, as they were definitely a pain to deal with in BF2, but I do like the drivable AA I spotted. |
