Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops Survival Trailer

A new trailer from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 shows off the Spec Ops survival mode in the upcoming military third-person shooter sequel. The clip shows lots of shooting, the perks and upgrades to be earned along the way, and some of the enemies you will face, including explosive dogs and guys in cumbersome body armor. As a bonus there's a scene of an opponent at the receiving end of a nifty smartass kill. The clip is embedded below, guarded by our infallible electronic bouncer.

SSDD, but fortunately MW2 was my favorite game of all time as far as multiplayer goes, so I get this one no doubt. This gametype looks interesting, definitely looking forward to it.

Speaking objectively, that actually looks like a lot of fun. I really love the ability to buy in soldiers to help, and that thing blasting the shit out of the bad guys from high up in the sky, looks very cool. If I could buy this from an online vender, get it for half the price they'll charge in the Aussie Steam store (and certainly half the price they'll charge at retail), I think I'm down for it.

I'm surprised that they even bother with porting it to the PC. BF3 may not be a poster boy of originality either but at least they're scaling things up from Bad Company 2 with 64 player servers and flyable aircraft. Oh yes and destruction 2.0 or whatever.

I don't know guys, help me out here, but there is almost an exact resemblance to a few other games that have been previously released by Activision; Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops come to mind. Is this a MOD to one of those games or something?

Are they serious? It looks just like Mw2 and black ops...Who the F would buy this? Seriously. It is becoming like Madden, A few extras each year..And fools pay full price for it LOL. Companies like this survive because of the idiot consumers some of you call gamers.

Hunh...You fight waves of attackers, earn money, spend money upgrading weapons and buying different things (between rounds?) and then try and survive each round so you can buy more stuff.

What are the glowing icons on the screen? Equipment to pick up? Objectives?

Doesn't seem to be much here we haven't seen before. That last 5 seconds shows some sort of weird land mine thingy, I guess that is new.

I hope they've come up with some fun new weapons and such...even the stuff on the armory lists seems like stuff from the past.

Ah wait, I see what those icons are, those must be the locations you go to get each of the above armories.

There is obviously stuff they are not showing us in the armories but it would be nice if there was a lot of stuff that felt new to play with in the game. As someone said before this seems more like a mod if it's just going to offer the same items we've seen in the past with some new game modes.
