Carbine Studios Reveal at Gamescom

Carbine Studios has been operating in a stealthy mode since the MMORPG developer was formed back in 2007 by Tim Cain and other industry veterans, but it looks like that's about to change. A Letter from the Executive Producer on the new Carbine Studios Website has word from Jeremy Gaffney that the company plans to reveal what they are up to at Gamescom, and it sounds like they are not afraid of setting the bar too high, as he says: "But we think we've learned enough to make some dramatic steps forward. We have developed some new ways of making online games; games that can adapt to you instead of the other way 'round."

Rumor has it Tim may no longer be with Carbine. A number of people apparently left on the day they announced. Still scrounging up details.

You left out Bloodlines and this sounds extremely promising if your looking for evolution in mmogs.
The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

For those that don't know who Tim Cain is, he's the man who programmed Fallout, Fallout 2, and Arcanum. He's done a lot of other work, but those 3 games are simply classics.

Here's hoping he stays above the Specters, and the Molyneux's of the world.
