It's funny going through the pictures and seeing which ones my friends have already voted for.
I don't really like any of these since none of them strike me as a paragon with military background which I assume is the default canon.
I've gotta go with the longer haired darker Shepard. |

They are, and you can have your old fem shep carry over from the last game. It's just that, for the first time, a female Shepard will be featured on the cover of the collector's edition. So they finally have to nail down her official appearance.
So I can have my toon look pretty much like this from the second game?
Because the 6 'offical' femshep's all look like crap compared to previous femsheps. Even as stand alone toons they look kinda generic. |

It's how she's gonna look in the videos and stuff. So this is the "official" Femshep, just like the dude with the sunken-in cheeks and ghoulish face and the shitty 5 o'clock goatee is the official MaleShep.

Exactly this. Female Shepard has had a consistent look for the first two games, why change it now? Male Shepard still looks the same.

I think it has more to do with unreal engine not being able to do long hair well at all. In ME3 its something they worked on, so it's there. |
