Do your MBAs say "My ask of you..." or "My only ask is..."
It's called a fucking question not an "ask".
Haven't heard synergy but they're still using "paradigm".
One that I personally need to stop using so often is, "As I said before..." because I'm sure it comes off as occasionally condescending but I've been training new guys for almost two months now and it tend to come up often. It's never accompanied by a sigh and I don't stress it or anything just a quick "Yeah like I was saying..." but I swear sometimes it's 3 times in 3 minutes. |

Culture is valid, though. In a broad sense at least. If you've worked for different companies, or often even two departments in the same company, you know how drastically different the culture can be and how that can impact how work gets done.
Truthfully I think culture is one of the most important parts of a job. If you go to a company in which you don't fit the culture you'll be miserable. If you're someone that hates working in teams and you join a company where the culture is everything is decided by group you'll be miserable. If you're someone that hates micromanagement but join a company where bosses are very involved with your work you'll be miserable. |

I once heard my MBA Dept manager use 4 cliches in one sentence. Something like "Moving forward at the end of the day, every problem is really an opportunity, and this is where the rubber hits the road and everyone needs to give 110%." It was cliche overload.
I hate that guy; every time I hear a cliche now I want to throw up.
EDIT: And near as I can tell, "paradigm" has been replaced by "culture". Instead of a 'paradigm shift', we're told we need a 'culture shift'. Any which way it's all bullshit educated idiots spout to sound (here's another one:) "proactive". |

Even MBAs don't say "paradigm."
We do say "synergy," but we're smart enough to know it's a concept that really only exists in theory and very, very rarely practice. |

| It's a pretty common saying actually. Paradigm shift on the other hand is just silly MBA / Corporate Sales speak. |

Who says "at the end of the day" anymore? It's like the 90s when everybody said "paradigm shift".
