In regard to the ARM article - great for tablets, but why are most phones becoming tablets. People need to get past this "my phone can do everything" mentality and aim for a phone to be a phone, a tablet to be a tablet and a PC to be a PC.
Latest one I've seen? A 3d phone - wtf? who really wants to sit down and watch a 3d movie on their 4.3" phone screen.
I still just want a phone built into my watch - that would do me. Sod Angry Birds, I want to have a stylish watch I can make phone calls on.
I had to upgrade last week and went for the smallest smartphone on the market - yes I like the fact I can tag my car and find it again in a festival carpark. And yes I like the fact I can use it to work out my mpg or check the weather. But whilst I could play angry birds on it - I'd much rather pick up my daughters Ipad for a game then play it on my phone. |
