Deus Ex Human Revolution Trailer

A new trailer from Deus Ex Human Revolution introduces us to the year 2027 in which the upcoming action/RPG prequel is set. In the clip the development team explains how mechanical augmentation has spread throughout the world, creating a world that's interesting but grounded in current reality, the two organizations competing to control the augmentation market, non-shooting gameplay elements, and more. The clip is embedded below.

Add me to the 'jumping on the pre-order' bandwagon. They seem to be genuinely trying and that needs to be encouraged.

I've been pretty skeptical about the game as well, having been burned by Invisible War in the past. That said, after playing through the beta that's been floating around, I immediately jumped on and placed my pre-order. And these days I otherwise don't really pre-order anything, especially if it's a singleplayer game. The leaked build worked just as well as (if not better than) any official demo and resolved a ton of my concerns. There's a few points I know will hit with some controversy, but it's blatantly obvious these guys are steering as far away from the problem points Invisible War tripped all over as possible.

When this game comes out, I shall pick it up and enjoy it immensely. Of this I am sure - as sure as I was for, say, the Half-Life or Portal releases.

If you have any doubts, there's a magazine reviewers leak floating that is a perfectly solid build of the first hours of gameplay.
You can watch the entirety on YouTube. Absolutely incredible stuff.
Companies need to release demoes, especially when they're as incredible as this game.
It's made me start playing the first one over again, in anticipation of this ones arrival.

Looks good, and I plan on preordering it. But the character animations look really stiff. Can't say I'm impressed with those. Visually though the game looks great.

I gotta say despite my strong skepticism of what I've seen, this is actually starting to impress me somewhat. Maybe it won't be as bad as I fear.

Ship it and take my money!

I'm *pre-paid* on Steam! And am so looking forward to August 23rd! I have completed both previous games so I'm not shooting in the dark for the pre-paid part!
