Does anyone have an issue with indie developers only selling their games on their websites? Isn't the wonderful thing about the PC the fact that you can make a game and sell a game on your website and no one can tell you to do anything else? I love that, and I try to buy from indies on their website as much as possible.
I don't have an issue with it, but any Indie game that's not sold on Steam, I will have basically never heard of and I just never buy.
I don't want to have to scour 800 different clients in the future to see if anyone has any cool deals, or to see if game X is already out or not, or has a patch I can download automatically / manually / sorta-semi-manually etc.
And that's where Origin and its ilk would lead the market. Everyone with their own little niche.
If you like that, great. We live in a free country. However, to me that doesn't sound especially great for gaming.
