I don't see the big deal about companies sending a press release about this either, it saves them a lot of time answering repetitive questions on forums and emails. It's one of the most commonly asked questions about PC multiplayer after all.

Agreed. I'd rather have official confirmation of PC-centric features rather than wait until the game is released and confirm via forums.

next year they will be hyping their FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! mouse support
Pretty sure this is already happening what with the games coming out recently that are mostly only playable with an xbox 360 controller since the mouse support sucks. Combine that with non-rebindable keys for an even greater experience.

Look at dungeon siege 3, requires 2 controllers for 2 ppl on same computer. WTF? Why can't one use mouse and other use controller? And how hard is it to program in keys that can be changed?

Non-rebindable keys is just unforgivable, it's a quick and dirty job that you can give to an intern. The PC has no formal Q/A process and it's very difficult to screw something up. That more than anything else speaks to a lazy port. People cry about 16:10 support but let's be honest here even the hardware manufacturers want 16:10 to die off because it's so costly and the residential market for it is so small. Rebinding keys is something the majority of people who grab a PC title are probably going to want to do.

Thankfully Duke has them and support for dedicated servers is a plus. I don't see the big deal about companies sending a press release about this either, it saves them a lot of time answering repetitive questions on forums and emails. It's one of the most commonly asked questions about PC multiplayer after all.

If they supported their support, that would be, like, double support. You can't ask that of Duke.

Great dedicated servers.... I presume another game there you have to pay to get the extra little goodies? What was wrong with when you could put up a server yoursef, and it was free? Tbh im so tired on this greed....

as a longtime duke fan.

This game is a giant piece of crap in its current state gameplay wise.

easy fixes.

1.) remove weapon limit.
2) gore levels returned
3) kick removed. no melee weapon, is fine as long as there is a kick.
4) release SDK so we can do it.

I believe the fanbase with its High resolution pack for the modern ports attitude can conjure up a modded DNF that delivers.

Yes, I find it quite sad. I wouldn't be surprised if we have to fight for mouse support in the future.

Too bad you can't trust Gearbox to implement adjustments for Field of View, I can't stand first person shooters with console 60 degree field of view settings.
