Let’s say you pay $10.00 and the game is unlocked for 10 days or so. When the trial ends you have the option to buy the game at full retail price minus the $10.00 you already threw down.
Maybe this sounds silly to some, but I wouldn't mind droppin' 10 bucks down to evaluate. I know I would definitely try a few more games out that I would usually just pass over. At least it would be fair for the consumer. With all these marketing techniques and flashy trailers, and the lack of PC demo's these days, it's like rolling the dice. And I’m not a gambling man. Hey I'd love that since I prefer single player, I'd finish single player in 10 days for $10 then move on to something else. That would be GREAT for duke nukem, I'd beat it on launch day for $10 (about what I'm willing to pay for that game anyway) and move on. Pretty sure thats why they don't do that, tons of people play new games for short periods then move on, basically its the cult of the new. In consoles it works out decently since selling a new game back to gamestop is worth probably half the new price at a guess (sorry I've never sold back anything to them). |

No offense, but we could all be happy if companies went back to doing PC demos. To even hint that you'd pay for some sort of limited trial/demo version is just shooting yourself in the foot.
What you are proposing is more of a pay version of shareware, what we used to have prior to the golden years of PC demos.

I think it would've been better without the piano music from the first trailer tacked on at the end. It's a big reminder of how this game seems to be completely different from what the first trailer seemed to depict.
Dang, was hoping for an emotive "The Walking Dead" type of game. This is more like Duke Nukem vs the zombies.
Maybe the developers are actively trying to distance themselves from the expectations people have from seeing that first trailer, with the awfully cheesy "Right in the fucking head" line at the end.

The 4 player Co-op is what is selling it to me. Ditto. I'm glad to see more co-op games coming out these days. |

Creston I thought it looked more like 810 gallons of blood, but after watching it again, you're right, IT IS 812 gallons....
The jury is still out on this one. I'll see what kind of reviews transpire and make decision from there.

I'm sure I'll play this at some point after release...but something about it just doesn't look quite right. As someone already pointed out...kind of awkward.

That's very true. It doesn't make the game any less fun (or appear any less fun), I just thought it was very noticeable in this trailer.

Depending on how long Deus Ex will take me, I think I'll pick this up.
