Dawn of War II Wargear DLC Preview

Dawn of War II Community Website has an extensive illustrated preview of the upcoming Wargear DLC for Warhammer: 40:000 Dawn of War II, Relic's RTS sequel. Says gameplay designer Clint Tasker: "This wargear is going to be PDLC (Paid Downloadable Content) which means you are going to have to pay for it, but I have made it extra special. So it is totally worth it." Thanks Shacknews.

LAME

The last DoW game (Retribution) felt like it was a day late and a dollar short and the serious lack of wargear variety for the heroes was a contributing factor after the 'variety' of the campaign.

Yes... there was 1 hero per faction who could choose between various heavy weapons but the rest were just basically upgrades to the default weapons. But anyone who's ever opened a codex and read the wargear options for independent characters in 40k knows just how neutered the options became.

Now we have to pay for it? Maybe if they were finishing up the 'unique' race campaigns I'd consider it, but for wargear that should have been there in the first place? Not gonna be the option I click in Steam, especially not with Shogun2 right on top of Dow in my list.
