Trading one monopoly for another is the worst sort of competition. 'Community broadband' is monopolistic and anti-competitive and will also hurt Internet investment.

But please don't blame the crashed economy due to failed central economic planning by the Fed. Bubble economics from artificially low interest rates, bailouts and politically motivated stimulus spending take away from investment in things like broadband investments. These are more likely the real causes of our falling behind other countries. That, and the duopoly which curtails competition as well.

The FCC will continue to spit out propaganda like this so they can expand their authority across the Internet. Problem, reaction, solution.
