Casey Hudson tweets about the inclusion of potential gay love interests in Mass Effect 3, BioWare's upcoming RPG sequel: "Happy to confirm #ME3 supports wider options for love interests incl. same-sex for m&f chars, reactive to how you interact w/them in-game" (thanks Joystiq via GayGamer). On a semi-related note, a recent post on Eurogamer has word that a "gay robot" sidekick (Claptrap?) was dropped from plans for Duke Nukem Forever, though this character could still appear in a future title. The idea was "to explore how Duke would relate to a peer that might have a different sexual orientation," says Randy Pitchford. The Gearbox boss offers a spoiler while attempting to avoid spoilers: "I don't want to spoil it because we might go there. Ultimately the robot was in a situation where for an order for victory against the aliens to be accomplished, the robot's inner workings – a nuclear generator – had to be sacrificed" (thanks Kotaku via GayGamer).

Yes, if I remember correctly they called it "Sexbox", a new xbox game lets your children engage in GRAPHIC SEXUAL CONDUCT! Outrage!!!! They may have used the term Mass Errect as well, it was surreal to watch these guys talk about something I'm familiar with for a change. I can only guess how far off the mark all their other content is. (this is not a problem exclusive to Fox btw...)

I have nothing personally against gays, though roleplaying one wouldn't be my cup of tea. As long as it's only an option for the main character, I don't care. If they want to include gay characters, fine. Just quit making such a big deal about it.

Clever marketing, can't really keep going on the "Mass Effect shows sex!" as your outrage of the day crap on Fox. But now they can have fresh new outrage as "Mass Effect shows GAY SEX!!!!"

Million copies sold on that news alone, if the game is great then it's 10 million. Gay Sex News outrage = sales!

They got those headlines already with the lesbian sex in the first game though to be fair to FoxNews they were more upset about the sex period, not so much whether it was gay or not. I think it's more due to the fact that fans requested it and it's not like Bioware are strangers to it anyhow, DA:O had it too.
