The
Eve of Destruction Website now offers a new version 2.31 of the
Eve of Destruction modification that brings
Battlefield 1942 from World War II into the Vietnam War. The update adds new vehicles, and tweaks a bunch of weapons and maps. They also recall the
debut release of the mod was called version 0.10 because it represented 10% of what was planned for the project, clarifying that version 2.31 does not mean it is 231% done. Thanks

FH2 is still very much alive. We have been waiting for the next FH2 patch for a very long time, but that is standard procedure. The player base is mainly on European servers at this point but the Americans populate servers on Thursdays and Fridays. Also there are at least 2 tournament leagues active.
The most exciting thing right now is the chance to play on one of the experiment servers that might support anywhere from 100 to 200 players at a time. It truly adds to the epic war feeling.
Ooh, 100-200 servers. That has to be crazy. I hope my PC and pipe can handle it as a client! Is that up now or still a long way to go? |
