I'll use bending gestures when they can create a robot to do the bending for me. A bending unit, if you will. Maybe it could run on alcohol.

Screw bending as UI, but the bendable/foldable/indestructible screen is the future. That's what (one aspect) of what I demand before I'll even consider an ereader. Imagine: Something in the form-factor of a ballpoint pen that you can unroll to be the size of an opened paperback book. Can't wait! It'll make smartphones a lot less annoying to carry, too. And to use. Unroll a little to use as a phone, unroll the rest of the way to use for webbrowsing without being forced to use a tiny screen?

I saw the paper/throw-away-cell-phone concept demo'd five years ago, and they were saying that it was 2 or 3 years away from being pushed out into the market.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Did you notice all the issues with the screen missing pixels when it was being bent as well?

Not really buying the paperphone - I can't imagine it will ever be as easy to scroll as simply dragging a touch screen down. Also although the display may be paper thin - the battery etc isn't.
