Yes, I can see that but to me that still doesn't explain why there is no deathmatch. Singleplayer and co-op won't last forever and when you're done with that the replayability will be dead and I cannot imagine that it would be so hard to stick a simple, old deathmatch in it. Maybe there are more strings attached to it than I think but to me that is still no real explanation.
Did they just sit down and say "Okay, we've done competitive gaming, we'll do something different."? If that is so then it's pretty lame.
