Couldn't beat her argument with the facts? Felt like just skipping to a random beat down? And this was a family member? Nice. Do us all a favor and stay away from public places.

What argument? Since you're more intellectual than the average guy, you should know that asking me if I got that changey thingey is not an argument but some kind of bitchy taunt. Come on, don't even joke about that. And to answer your ridiculous question/assertion, no I didn't feel like getting into some kind of factual battle at the time. Forgive me but I was more interested in the Miller High Life. You know, those philistine pursuits.

Jeraxle, it was a joke. I can't stand people getting in my face either way: Democrat, Republican or other and that's what happened. Ever wonder why it is that the people with the strongest opinions and willing to argue them forcefully, usually are the craziest assholes you ever met? The point I was making is that yeah I voted for him and I wasn't saying anything emphatically either way about it so it's like, chill out.

How about we just agree that politicians, regardless of which party they run for, are all evil, vile creatures, and do not have people's best interest in mind.

Agree to disagree and shaddup all of you. You wanna argue this crap I'm sure there is a Rush Limbaugh/Fox News forum somewhere.

I don't personally know of anyone that doesn't like Obama for a political reason other than he's black. I'm sure there are some out there (I hope), I just don't personally know any. He's a Democrat, [...]

Wait, what? For real?
Boy, he does sure suck at that "being a democrat" thing but maybe that's just me...

I don't personally know of anyone that doesn't like Obama for a political reason other than he's black. I'm sure there are some out there (I hope), I just don't personally know any. He's a Democrat, that's the reason they hide behind, but he seems to get more hate than other Democrat politicians.

Down here in Jesus-Rupublicanstan both sides of my family are old republican racists, yet somehow my mother and father broke free and taught me to think for myself. My father's brother and sister and my mother's sister are the worst. They bombard everyone with emails slamming Obama, and don't even try to hide that they're racists. I usually ignore them, but one rubbed me the wrong way and I replied with facts making them look like the racist bigot they are. I got a few replies telling me I don't belong in the family and never to talk to them again, and I got a few replies thanking me for standing up to the crap spewing. Fuck 'em, I don't want to be related to people like that anyway.

I don't vote one party, I think for myself and find the one that is closest to my views. It usually comes down to one or two issues that divide the two, and it pisses me off that I pretty much only have two choices.

Why what's the point? Conservatives will never let the facts stand in the way of what they believe. Has Obama been doing a good job? No. Then again he inherited the biggest mess in American history as well, so cut the guy some fucking slack, he's just a man, not a miracle worker.

No where in my comment did I express political affiliation. In fact, I don't care either way about Presidents Obama or Bush. My point was the fact that this person would immediately resort to physical violence without even expressing the difference of opinion with one of his own family members.

Next time, please take a moment and actually read what someone says rather than jump to conclusions.

Have a nice night.

I agree that wanting to hurt a family member was a bit much but I think the guy needs to be given the benefit of the doubt.

How do you reason with someone who loudly and obnoxiously spouts off a taunt that we have all heard ad nauseam for the past two years? I can't imagine that anybody else wouldn't feel frustrated and angry in that situation.

Maybe I'm a little more intellectual than the average guy. I highly doubt it personally. I just find that kind of behavior appalling. What I find disgusting is the bravado of posting that tripe on the internet as if it would have been perfectly okay for him to do.

I find the fact that the extreme left and extreme right see it as okay to dismiss any semblance of discourse and just go straight to the name calling / violence disgusting. But the worst of it all is that they feel as if they are justified in doing so.

Honestly, what as a society have we been teaching our children in order to get to this point?

Edited for clarity.

Conjunctivitis? Is that were people have a chronic problem with using contractions? Haven't isn't of have not... and so forth?

I think I have that. I sometimes'll make up contractions.

One of the ads is killing the vertical scroll bar in IE8. Works fine in Chrome. Might be the "box cloud file-sharing" that appears on the right hand side as it didn't happen on this page which doesn't have that ad, but does have the upper box ad.

Oh, and get well MrsBlue.
